The Future Of In-water Hull Cleaning

When I don't hire a diver, I use the white 3m pads myself, but that drill motor looks attractive, especially if it holds itself to the hull.
I assume a soft brush that won't eat ablative paint, or is this a hard paint only thing?

I have used it on Pettit Vivid and honestly feel it doesn't remove any more of that extremely soft product than cleaning by hand does.

You need to become a dealer and start selling the things if they really are as good as they look, maybe come with a one year warranty etc., I'd likely buy one for example.

Neat idea, but way to expense for the recreational market yet...

I think about $2000 to start.

If you can do with the standard package of one brush, one 60 minute battery and one five hour battery charger. You could do it for $1695

I would imagine most people would buy a least one extra battery ($229-$259), a rapid 1.5 hour battery charger ($239) a carrying case ($179) and a couple of extra brushes in different coarseness ($69 each)

Even if you don't count shipping, I think you are still closer to $2000 than $1695

Tom is right. Most hull cleaners are buying a range of brushes and a backup battery and walking out the door having spent in the vicinity of $2200.
