Teak Substitute

I've got two teak hatches to fix. I'm just replaceing the top planks, the "deck" part, but teak is expensive. Does anyone have experience with the plastic teak substitue called Flexiteek?
Flexiteek - Environmental marine decking system - A teak deck alternative

Aparently the stuff is sandable, low maintance, long lasting, and so on.

dispite the fact that this stuff would look incredibly tacky next to the an all teak deck, I'm considering trying it out.

I suppose I should just invest the money and do it the right way the first time.

Chad, you might look into Ipè aka Ironwood which is commonly available in the US as decking lumber in 1x5 planks. The color range overlaps with teak, the durability, etc. are similar but the cost way lower.
