teak oil on fiberglass deck

hey everyone.
when I was oiling my teak I had some parts the ran onto the fiberglass. I can't seem to get it out even with cleaners. the only thing that worked was a 600 light light wet sand. is this okay?? and if so what do i have to do after the wet sand? should I wax it?
