Survey+18 wheeler road trip

I have been canvasing the upper gulf coast and come upon a nice old cruiser with good bones but no amenities. In the event a purchase falls together in the next week I was wondering if any of you had any knowledge of a surveyor in the Houston/Kemah/Seabrook area. A plus would be of some background in Cape Dory products. Along the same lines, I am looking for a truck transport to carry the boat 500 miles east, and was hoping for some input on who might be a reliable, safe carrier to do so.
