Suggestions - hanging sheets in lazarette

Hi everyone,
I'm looking for suggestions on storing sheets and assorted lines in the stern lazarette. We are getting tired of these lying around the head/shower or our limited storage. What I have in mind is securing a 1"x3" board inside across the top front of the stern locker and mounting some sort of loop/hooks to hang the coiled sheets. The simplest idea is a set of pegs; however, that might make accessing the locker difficult. I could go with a set of soft shackles mounted to the board. I remember seeing a prefab metal hook with 8" loop of line that you lace through the coil and secure on the hook - these might work, though same issue with the pegs. Note, I'm not sure what these are called and haven't been able to find (anyone know what I'm talking about). I've read about laundry bags or hammock - not too excited about these ideas. I look forward to your suggestions.
Thanks,
Don

One solution is to attach a piece of old lifeline from one end of the locker to the other. Use a clove hitch and tie all your lines, sheets, etc., to it.

I use the small diameter bungee cords and hooks on a board as per you idea. It works well

I hadn't thought about lifeline - that would minimize the sag in ordinary double-braid. A piece of cable with a couple of eyes might do the trick.

Right now I'm leaning toward making up 4 or 5 longish soft shackles and securing them to the board. This would eliminate any pegs or hooks intruding into the locker, since this is one of the key access points for the autohelm, bilge pump, rudder post..... I'd hate to be impaled by a peg or hook. The cable/lifeline idea might be easier, though.

I look forward to other ideas - thanks,
Don

+1 on a lifeline or...
why not secure a bath towel rod and hang your spare lines on it using clove hitches? Extra power cables could be hung on it too.

The old lifeline has a couple of eyes in it and they're attached to the bolts that hold the toe rail in the hull deck joint. Holds lots of lines and doesn't take up any room.

This has been working well for me. Out of the way, very fast (no knots, one hand operation), strong, no snag-points (since the hooks are bent closed and very smooth--important, since I store the chute in the same hole).
