You're probably right.... Not many "yard girls" to be seen.... And surely we're not the most desirable specimens either....

ye climb poles, but can ye dance on em or with em????

and they wonder why folks like keel stepped masts.....

Never taken anything off my boat in any yard anywhere (including the USA :-) ) and have never had anything stolen.

I do have locking lockers for tools & small electronics, don't leave valuables in plain sight, and lock dink & OB. Just common sense to avoid tempting someone.
