Assuming you have a fibergalss hull
, you will want to glass some blocks to the inside of the hull to secure the bulkhead. This is not a hard project
, but requires a little bit of knowledge. You will want to use a good rot
resistent wood for the blocks, and I would recommend coating it with penetrating epoxy
. you will also want to coat any end grains on the bulkhead, especially where it meats the hull, with penetrating epoxy
. This is especially critical if the bulkhead is plywood
. Aside from this, you do not need anything between the hull, and the bulkhead.
