Finally finished part 2 of this 2 part series on chain and cable steering. In this part I review how to maintain the under deck components. The timing of this couldn't be better. Our steering cable broke coming into an anchorage just a few days ago. Being a prepared novice I had new cable on hand to fix it. When we got down into the quadrant area I noticed that the quadrant was loose because the four bolts holding it were loose.

Also, I made the mistake of tightening the eye bolts up. I'll fix that.
