Steering Maintenance Part 2 Video

Finally finished part 2 of this 2 part series on chain and cable steering. In this part I review how to maintain the under deck components. I worked closely with Edson Marine for their input on the best methods of keeping your system in good operational order. Hope you get some useful information from it.

The timing of this couldn't be better. Our steering cable broke coming into an anchorage just a few days ago. Being a prepared novice I had new cable on hand to fix it. When we got down into the quadrant area I noticed that the quadrant was loose because the four bolts holding it were loose.

Also, I made the mistake of tightening the eye bolts up. I'll fix that.
