sprocket rotary drive

I have contacted ....Applied....for a quote on my sprockets for my type 2 rotary drive,
as per the chart I need a 15 tooth and a 57 tooth sprocket with a three eighth pitch..........the 15 tooth is no problem along with the chain.......but the 57 tooth is a special order and its 450 bucks..........(the 15 tooth is 70 bucks).....
am I looking in the right spot....
is this normal....
please adise

Is this a engine to prop reduction gear? Electric motor repower? I would say look for a sprocket that is close to what you want and don't worry about being exact. As long as the reduction ratio doesn't change more than 5% or so, you will never know the difference. If one tooth more or less saves you $400 then it is money well saved.

57 divided by 15 gives you a 3.8: 1 ratio. Any combination of sprockets that gives you that ratio will work, so try to find it in common sizes.

I think he is talking auto pilot? If so, is there a rudder angle sensor?

I picked up sprockets from McMaster Carr for my type 1 rotary drive.....
