Could ferrocement be used to mould an effective acoustic enclosure in sections?
lends itself to custom construction even more than GRP so it should be possible to make panels
fit awkward shapes with fewer gaps than using board materials.
Presumably it's fireproof? Weight for weight I can't think of anything else that would come close to being as cheap
Haven't heard of ferro
hulls being built recently but there are enough old ones still sailing to prove its strength surely?
