Re: Sea Hawk Paint Execs Go To Prison For Selling TBT Paint

Company president David Norrie, who pleaded guilty to willfully conspiring to obstruct the EPA, was sentenced to five months in prison and six months of home confinement.

Chief executive officer Erik Norrie, who pleaded guilty to willfully conspiring to knowingly distribute and sell an unregistered pesticide, was sentenced to three months in prison.

Vice president Jason Revie and national sales manager Tommy Craft previously pleaded guilty to knowingly distributing and selling an unregistered pesticide and was each sentenced to a one-year period of probation.

Re: Sea Hawk Paint Execs Go To Prison For Selling TBT Paint

Apparently the plea deal that was in the paper was over turned when it actually made it to court, so yes one of them did go to jail for a few months, and pay a higher fine.
Since this is an EPA issue, I wonder if the Top execs for the EPA are going to pay any fines or do jail time for the colorado mess. permanently contaminating rivers, in colorado,
The incompetence of big government never ceases to amaze me. The EPA -- now known as the "Environmental POLLUTION Agency" -- recently managed to spill 3 million gallons of toxic sludge into the Animas River. "

Well certainly an accident is different than intentional deception.

According to the State of New York 27 billion gallons of untreated sewer and polluted waste water are dumped into New York Harbor every year. Accidental?

According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, two of them went to prison, two got probation and the company was fined $1.2 million.

New Nautical Coatings, Inc. (New Nautical), which pled guilty to willfully conspiring to obstruct the Environmental Protection Agency, was sentenced to pay a fine of $1,235,315.00, that constituted a disgorgement of the unlawful gains the company derived from the offense. New Nautical was also sentenced to a three year period of probation, which requires the company to complete an Environmental Compliance Program during that period of time. David Norrie, who also pled guilty to willfully conspiring to obstruct the Environmental Protection Agency, was sentenced to five months in prison and six months of home confinement. Erik Norrie, who pled guilty to willfully conspiring to knowingly distribute and sell an unregistered pesticide, was sentenced to 3 months in prison. Sea Hawk Refinish Line, Inc., who pled guilty to the same conspiracy, was sentenced to probation for one year. Jason Revie and Tommy Craft previously pled guilty to knowingly distributing and selling an unregistered pesticide and were each sentenced to a one year period of probation.

Yep, in fact it's very common with many major cities.

Evidently it's ok to spray Roundup and other things like that on your food you eat . They do it to the potatoes up here all the time. But then Monsanto and Dow have great lobbyists....

The idea of "Equality under the law" is long gone, and it makes me sick.

The feds and their agents seemingly can do whatever they want with no repercussions.

If you have the bathroom reading time, (click on PDF left side) Bloomberg-BNA did an excellent (really big with footnotes) report on EPA issues for the year 2014. One of the issues mentioned is the EPA saying it was going after individual corporate officers. Interesting how BP and other mega corporation officers have had their prosecutions substantially delayed....

Lastly, the government, while getting big headlines for big fines generally settles for pennies on the dollar. The FCC is probably one of the biggest offenders in this policy. Read 9.2.B here.

It seems to me that the Government, that some people gripe about and blame for their problems, is the same government that Big money makers have bought and now run. I believe that we as a sovereign nation could not survive without governing. However to keep our government straight we must insulate it from big Business. To do this we must take the responsibility to learn what is happening in this realm and vote for people that will take care of "we the people". Once our paid for courts started making new rules, they naturally followed the money. When you divide Government from the business of making money. You remove the incentive of big business, to run and ruin your life. Mac

Its been going on since Washington was president. Will Rogers used to make a living off jokes about just how bad and crooked our government was (and still is).

As far as judges go - where they aren't elected, look who gets to be judges. Members of huge law firms who give mega-bucks to election campaigns.

Your idea is most laudable.... but under the way things are and likely to remain because too many voters have no idea just how bad things are, and don't really care as long as they get their free cellphone.

Just look at one issue to see just how bad things are: Illegal aliens can come into the county, receive constitutional protections, get free medical, earned income credit, have anchor babies, live in "Sanctuary Cities"), commit crimes and be deported only to come back again and again, etc, Ad nauseam..

But you, as a voter and taxpayer MUST have a $65 passport if you want to come and go. And you can't just blame Obama for this (he has certainly compounded it) because the democrats and republicans have both sat on their hands perpetuating this mess for decades because they want the illegal vote, when they are made legal.

The only way this is ever going to get resolved is for people to stop paying taxes, and to starve the Beast into Submission. However, there are laws against even suggesting this concept (free speech? forget about it!), and the IRS will criminally charge you if you try to do it.

How about criminal indifference to human life. The EPA people on site were supposed to have the background and education, and more importantly, the engineering safety knowledge to assure such an event didn't happen.

But like Ruby Ridge, Waco, and so many other actions by US Government officials, these people will probably get a raise, promotion, and a window office for their actions.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.
