Sanitred? Anyone use this?

Cinsidering it for a bottom job, and if I like it maybe topsides. It has two formulas one regular, one uv resistant. Also gives you the abilty to apply it as nonskid with their granules. more info here. www.sanitred.com
Would love some opinions.

Why would you consider using something that has zero anti fouling characteristics?

Re: Sanitred? Anyone use this?

Did you even read about it? I asked for comments from people whom have used it. It's antifouling as well, atleast nothing will grow on it.Can have paints applied over it if that really trips your trigger. Anyway, read about it, then join the discussion.

Btw I have found rave reviews on it on other sites found in a Google search. Only bad post was a guy that didn't follow directions for application.

Yes, I used your link and read about it. And not for the first time, as this subject has come up before.

If you think nothing will grow on it, I've got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.

There is no data because nobody is using this stuff as a bottom paint. But hey, it's your dime. Knock yourself out.

Just sayin dude, you say stuff without any facts. You used it?, scraped a bottom that had it applied? Anything useful besides "well nobody else is doin' it".

Plus from what I can tell , even as a barrier coat with an ablative applied afterward on an old fg hull would still be worth the price.

Re: Sanitred? Anyone use this?

You're a little sensitive. I simply asked why you would use something that wasn't designed to be a bottom paint, as a bottom paint. Look, I've been around boats and the hull cleaning business long enough to know that reinventing the wheel doesn't work. Trying to cheap-out and use something other than an anti fouling on your hull is going to end badly. I guarantee it. There is a reason nobody is using it. Don't be the guinea pig, is my advice.

Some people are. Perhaps it would be wise to take this into account.
