Sail Repairs

The jib sail I plan on using for the Puffer has slipped on the cable. I hung it today and worked the sail back into position. What is the best method for keeping it there? This sail has a brass grommet with a groove around the outside on the end of the cable. Is there a preffered or correct way to re-attach the sail to that eyelet?
Appologies if I use the wrong terms for things, and thanks in advance!

The folks at the SailRite sail repair forum may be able to offer specific advice:

Thanks for the reply! Was beginning to think I needed to try a new aftershave or something!
I ended up doing it the way several other sails I have are done. I cut a narrow piece of cloth and wrapped it thru and around the eyelet and then sewed it to the sail. Can't see too much stress there on this little Puffer.
For those interested that have not seen them, there are some good videos on sail making at Videos on ExpertVillage.com | How to videos, free video clips & more.
Thanks again GordMay!
