Re: Rudder stuffing box

Well I finally finished the rudder and installed on July 7. Rudder was faired nicely, 4 coats of barrier paint and 2 anti fouling. I noted that the new rudder came in at 53 lbs while the old one was 35. However, the extra weight was all in shaft and the rudder actually floats. The feel is better than before and all is good.
