Rubber and Sponge Lube

I will be installing new rubber seals on the portholes and sponge seals for the deck hatches.

What do you recommend as a lubricant that does not break down the rubber or sponge, but will keep them from sticking to the flange in Tropical heat?

The most common rubber lubricants are silicone based.
