I had a good visit with riggers...let me paw through bins, no luck on finding proper bushing, however learned a great deal. Model #2535, which you have, uses the "bb" extrusion...the same extrusion is used on the Seafurl 2. In other words a Seafurl 2 swivel assembly will work directly on a Seafurl Model #2535 extrusion. However internal parts
are not interchangeable, the swivel bushings and swivel tube, have a different O.D./I.D. Re-machining the Seafurl 2 bushing is not an option...just not enough material on molded part...
A) I think the rigger here may have enough spare swivel parts
to build a Seafurl 2 swivel and has a new bushing. I did not ask price
, I would hope less than $100 for all. With shipping
may add up close to choice B) if you can haggle...still several "if's"... ( I mentioned to the shop owner that you were just starting out...he was very much in favor of helping you out..."We have to help him along then..."
B) Check to see if you can get a reduced price
on the unit from your previous posting
...the swivel would work directly and you would have spare luff extrusions if one got mangled, plus an assortment of other parts. ( Probably the most cost effective)
C) machine a bushing from 2" diameter Nylatron (NSM?) (~$40?/ foot here) material plus 60-90 minutes machining time. If you wish to have it done there, I can ship the damaged bushing for a machining reference, part free, ~$35 postage.
