Restoring Exterior Glass

anyone tried to restore 35 year old exterior glass with jewelers rouge or cerium oxide? Theres no scratches just lots of salt water a general gunk which doesn't come off with cleaners

I assume you mean window glass not fiberglass. You probably have mineral deposits on the glass.
I think I'd try some acid based cleaners before resorting to abrasives. Maybe Davis FSR Fiberglass Stain Remover. It's oxalic acid in a gel which should cling to your window glass long enough for the acid to work. Don't use anything with hydrofloric acid, it will etch glass. What ever you use, try it in an inconspicous spot first to make sure it doesn't make things worse.

i use vinegar on the hard droplets of salt water..works great. but then i like the way vinegar has always worked.
