If the operning is an odd size, you may have to choose to either:
Customize the opening to fit a current
, OEM hatch
Have a custom made hatch built to mate up with the opening
Knock on wood, I usually vote for/choose the former. That way, in theory at least, you can get spare parts
, down the road. Especially if you use something pretty long standing, & universal. Like a Lewmar
Ocean model, for example.
But pics of things, along with dimensions & measurements would help a lot. Especially if the current
setup has custom type features. Like a breakwater already in place for the current hatch, & or tracks for a storm cover for your current hatch.
Albeit, given that the current hatch is wooden, it shouldn't be too tough to reproduce.
