Replacing Teak around windows

Since I couldn't work on anything else yesterday I decided to rip all the rotted wet wood out of the main salon. Knowing that no matter how good of a job I do rebedding the windows they will leak again. Is there a good synthetic option for around the windows?

Use the right sealant and they will not leak...

Ok I'll bite, whats the"right" sealant? I had read here that it's best to use glazing compound around windows shim them so they are centered put in lots of compound let dry then tighten, then trim off excess with razor blade. That was my plan anyway.

Use this stuff and that will be your last leak. I tried all the crap that is sold as marine sealant and my windows still leaked. I bit the bullet and paid twice the price and no more leaks. I also repaired my fuel tank leaks with this stuff.

looks interesting, does it come in tubes? Who did you order it from? it looks like you have to mix the entire amount. can you meter it out as needed?

I use the b-2 version and buy it in the small pint containers. I could do two windows at a time so yes I mixed the whole thing. This is the messiest, stinkiest stuff you will ever work with but it works. I used to seal the pressure seam on jet aircraft and it will always stay flexible. A supplier in Miami carries flamemaster and a different version of this grade sealant. JDL Industries, Inc.
