Replacing ST50 Wind Transducer with ST60

I have an old Raymarine ST50 instrument system on board I would now like to replace the wind transducer that has already seen 28000 miles and is causing some troubles. I sent it for service last year, but I guess it is just the time to let it go.

Can I just replace the ST50 transducer with ST60 transducer? There is nothing wrong with the ST50 display, so I would not rather waste money replacing it as well. If it can be done, what is the calibration procedure?

From Raymarine website I can only find information about replacing all other transducer with certain junction boxes, but noting about wind transducers.

I had an ST50 Transducer and a ST60 wind instrument (upgraded all instruments, hadn't replace the transducer). Worked just fine for about 3 years. So, if there is a transitive property of wind transducers, it should work. You can however test it, by plugging the transducer into the wind instrument before installation. I did that just to make sure I'd have no problems after climbing the mast and routing the cable.

Don't know how to recalibrate a 50. the 6 is fairly easy to do and the instructions are in the user manual.
