Re: Repairing Leaks On Fiberglass Boat Below Waterline

Thanks to all for the suggestions. We will be sure to keep adequate product aboard. The leak was identified & repaired. The reason we were anticipating the possibility of a repair below water line is that we are in the Bahamas & not near a marina with a lift. Thanks again for the valuable suggestions.

Just curious what you actually found as the source. And your solution.

Re: Repairing Leaks On Fiberglass Boat Below Waterline

Go to a local pool supply store and ask them...they have a two part epoxy that will set underwater...works great... Believe it or not..I actually drilled a hole in my hull... accidently... got some of that stuff, put it in the hole from the inside and outside of the hull....its been there now 20 years....not a drop of leakage..

I agree with the folks who say you have to find the leak before you can determine the best way to fix it.

And whatever you do, fix it right. If you have a crack in the hull, you shouldn't just stick something in it, there's fiberglass damage to be fixed.
