Copy and paste sometimes works on quick reply (I think it's size related).

Otherwise, go advanced and click on manage attachments.

What did your surveyor have to say about it?

Re: Repairing keel with concrete

Need a pic or explanation. Is the ballast cemented in now?

Re: Repairing keel with concrete

I've signed up for flickr, photobucket, and who knows what else I've subjected my computers to. I can only spend 5min at a time trying to get a image loaded before I'm overcome with Tourette's.
I just had a fiberglass guy locally look at the damage and he recommended filling with apoxy, priming and painting. I'll keep working on posting a pic. Thanks

I feel your pain but that was down right funny!

Good Luck!

Does one have to post some number of posts on CF before one can post a photo?

Later,
Dan

Re: Repairing keel with concrete

You don't need Photobucket etc here. If the pic is on your computer, just go to advanced, open the file you want, clik the "download" button and wait.

Re: Repairing keel with concrete

For small repairs on my 1979 Ferrocement Samson C- Mist 32 I've been using epoxy mortar made with West epoxy, cement powder, and sand. It sticks well and cures to a black, rock-like substance. I guess it's heavier than straight epoxy. I like to mix it as thick as I can without making it too cakey to stick easily and fill small crevices. It must be held in place to cure; it wants to flow like molasses.

I think you can't post a pic. until after your 10th post.

Maybe a mod can correct me if I'm wrong.
