Removing oil pollution from hull gelcoat

Hi,

During a passage from Southern France to Denmark we have apparently hit an oil slick or something similar somewhere en route which polluted the gelcoat at the bow - approx. 1 m2 at each side of the bow.

I have been able to remove most of it with ordinary hull cleaner but there is a yellowish shadow that remains.

Any good ideas on how to remove the remaining stains?

Thanks
ASteen

This stuff, just don't get any of it on you. It comes in a liquid and a Gel, I've only used the Gel. Of course it will strip any wax you have on, right off.

O&O is NASTY stuff, but it works.

The bow brown I call a mustache.

I use FSR by Davis or Forespar, don't know if you can get it there. It's a gel, blue.

Some friends of mine use toilet bowl cleaner for a mustache.
