Regrigerator Lid Gas Strut

Bought a 1996 Beneteau Oceanis 351 in the late fall and being doing minor repairs getting it ready for the spring. The gas strut and mounts for the Adler Barbour refrigerator lid are missing and opening and keeping the lid open is a pain. Any one have the details on the lifting strut- length and force?? Beneteau USA acknowledges that a gas strut was used, but has no details or where to get one. There are a number of places on the web to buy the struts, if you have the details. Help and thanks !!!!!

Re: Regrigerator Lid Gas Strut

I found a couple of places to order the struts from, but if I knew the original opening force- it would take the guess work out of the project.

Re: Regrigerator Lid Gas Strut

Some good info; Home

But I would contact a dealer of Barbour with the model and serial #'s. They would know where to get your answers. Even West Marine carries parts for WAECO ADLER BARBOUR.
