Refit of Cabin Sole / Bilge Access

Due to a leak in the water tank, my latest project requires taking up the cabin sole (possibly the most time consuming aspect of the project). Our teak and holly cabin sole is constructed in one piece that is secured in place by strips along the outside edges. These edges are made of teak and holly and I have to remove the bungs and screws in order to remove the strips (not an easy way to access the bilge). When the water tank issue is resolved I want to rethink how to replace the cabin sole so that the bilge is easily accessible (using the existing teak and holly). Any ideas?

It would be helpful to see the grid with the floor removed as well.

On first impression I think it would be preferred to replace the strips on the floorboards while they are removed from the boat, then work out how to attach the flooring back onto the grid using fasteners that can be loostened without disassembling the strips from the floorboards.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm never sure about the best way to include images. These are bigger than those in the original post. Let me know if this is better. I'll post photos of the grid once I have the floor removed.
