Reefing lines on a Moody 336

Hi,
I am considering buying a Moody 336 but the reefing lines do not go back to the cockpit. The agent says its easy to refit reefing lines and feed them back but I'm not so sure. Has anyone attempted such a thing and any idea of costs?

Re: Reefing lines on a Moody 336

If you do it, it costs you the materials and tooling you use for the job.

If you have someone do it for you it will cost you the amt visible on the bill.

Basically, this is a couple of blocks at the base, some turning leads on the top and some jammers. Make sure you can position these jammers close to a usable winch. If you cannot, you also want an extra winch.

In our boat it was 4 blocks, 2 leads and 4 jammers. We used the cabin top winches to operate the lines. (2 reef points)
