Question Raymarine wheelpilot motor repairs

Like may others I have trashed the gearbox on my wheelpilot. When I looked at the cheap plastic gears they use I wasn't surprised!
Found a source of decent industrial motors designed for continuous operation with proper steel gears here Motion Dynamics, AC & DC Motion Products
Problem is that my boat is several thousand miles away and Raymarine don't provide the specs needed to work out which one will fit. Any one got a SPX5 or SP400 unit handy and can send me the sizes for the drive cog (need dia & No of teeth. Also what is the size of hole where the motor mounts and the dia of the motor?

Many thanks

Re: Raymarine wheelpilot motor repairs

If it's the 36mm motor there is just 1 speed to choose from but if it's the 45mm there are several speeds to choose from. How would go about figuring that out?

Re: Raymarine wheelpilot motor repairs

Ah! forgot to say I need the size (no of teeth) for the drive belt. Need to use the heaviest motor, 5A one. I know the wheel needs to turn at 9 RPM so given the no of teeth on the belt and the drive cog it is simple to work out the motor shaft speed

Did an image search and found good enough pictures to wok out the details so will go ahead. I will publish details when I have it all working in case anyone else has the same problem.
