Radar Pole Top Adapter how to install?

need ideas and samples to install an 18" new garmin dome radar on top of a 2 3/8 inches aluminum tube about 8 feet long .
Checked on line the usual suspects Edson etc.prices quite high.
Previously have just have a plate welded on top and then drilled the holes and bolted the base, however like to see how others have done it.
Also like the idea of pivoting the base to adjust the angle on long tacks that sort of level the dome.
Seems a waste to spend couple hundred on a adapter.
thank you

Not sure what sort of adaptor you mean, just drill the correct holes in the top plate and bolt it on.

If it were me, I would mount a hinged bracket on top of the pole, with a mounting plate on top for the radar dome. Then install a lead counterweight on a threaded aluminum rod hanging down from the plate that would swing the plate to level when heeled. You can find round lead cyinders, or steel weights on ebay for $15-50.

thank you SVSiren
is an idea
will follow thru.
In the past have installed radar domes without the changing angle for long tacks, considering the platform (boat) is in constant movement not sure how worth they are,but if an easy and "cheap"option is there will consider.
thanks for your thought.

I'm glad it helped...if anything to give you some thought. Looking at prices $600 and up for the plug and play stuff...this would be much cheaper...
