| Question on the Tri Lens Radar Deflector
I just got a brand new Tri Lens, medium size for a real good price. I may either instal it on my boat, or sell it on E-bay. Does anybody on this here board have any experience with the Tri Lens? Good, bad or ugly? |

Somehow something got deleted from that last message. The British did tests on radar reflectors and found out that the traditional ones were every bit as effective and sometimes more effective than the high priced, so called "High Tech' ones. Brent |

There was a recent comprehensive test in Yachting Monthly or Practical Boat Owner which was a bit of a surprise. They tested the image both vertically and at heel. The Blipper was of very limited reflective value, with the Echomax coming out slightly better. The Tri-lens was significantly better, particularly across the range of situations, enough to make me get one to replace my Blipper. Steve |

Ocean Navigator, Mar/Apr 2006, had an interesting article on Radar Reflectors written by Phillip Gallman(who wrote a book on the subject). It appears the large Tri-Lens has the largest RCS(radar cross-section) over more heel angles than the others tested. How much do you want for it? |
