just wondering what the opinions here are on wearing a dust mask when mixing qcell into resin, i havent been able to find anything on this

Wear a mask and be sure not to get a "dust mask", but an appropriate mask for the solvent you might be encountering. You need a mask that looks like this:

im not worried at all about the resins it is the dust that im wondering if i should be concerned about as q cell especially is so fine its like a liquid, there arent any warnings on the stuff so im just wondering

It is not "toxic" at all, but you still do not want it in your lungs. I can become an irritant in your lungs which in the short exposure term, is just annoying. But long term exposure can cause health issue, but the same is concernd with anything in your lungs.

Sorry wheels, I just couldn't resist the typo Aside from that, a two strap dust mask is a must for that stuff. It will cause problems down the road with any prolonged exposure. Like most of us, I am sure you will use it once in awhile without a mask, and you will probably never have a problem, but a mask is cheap insurance.

Yeah I suppose it could be said that I can become an irritant with short exposure and a real issue with long term exposure:-)
But I agree that a mask is good insurance against the Dust. If you are trying to reduce me as an irritant, the mask would have to be a paper bag over the head. :-)
