Propane Stove Problem

I an ENO 3 burner propane stove. It lites fine, but it does not want to stay lit. Sometimes it takes a number of tries before I can finally cook. It occurs on all 3 burners. When I am having problems, the gas sounds like it is under high pressure as it makes a very noticeable noise.

Any advice or suggestions?

Could be a faulty realtor on the tank. How old is it?

Sounds like the thermocouple shut-off is defective or needs cleaning. Have you tried holding the burner on for an extended period after initially lighting? I'm not familiar with ENO. On my Force 10 that involves pushing and holding the burner knob in.
I have had this problem from time to time with my Force 10. It is usually fixed by a thorough cleaning with a degreasing cleaner. Holding the knob in for 10-15 seconds usually allows the flame to stay on until I can clean the burner.

Q: Why does the burner go out after I release the knob?

A: There are (3) possible issues:
- The Control knob may be hitting the control panel – Remove the knob and try lighting the burner.
- The Thermocouple is either dirty, has a poor ground connection or has failed.
- The solenoid inside the valve has failed.

First thing I would try is a new bottle of gas. Make sure regulator is not clogged with debris as well.

I doubt it is the thermocouple, solenoid or control knob as the OP stated it happens on all burners. More likely to be upstream of the stove or user error.

Bradley, you may know this, it is impossible to determine your level of experience with your stove, but you must hold the control knob in for 10-20 seconds for the burner to stay lit. This gives the thermocouple time to heat up.

I had the same ENO stove on my last boat. It never had this problem. What troubles me is that the LP pressure seems high and the noise it makes. I have tried different tanks with no success. The boat is just four years old. I'm pretty sure it is not the thermocouple. It could be the regulator.. Tanks are 10 pound aluminum.

I missed the statement that the problem exists with all 3 burners. Therefore it must be something common to all burners, which includes the solenoid switch, the regulator and the common ground for the thermocouples (you have eliminated the tank).
Are you saying you just have to keep re-lighting the burner and eventually it stays lit? Have you tried holding the burner knob in for a extended period (> 30 secs) and still does not stay lit? Once you get a burner to stay lit, does it stay lit until you shut it off? Once you get one burner to stay lit, do the two other burners light and stay lit? Was this boat originally set up for European gas (Butane)?
I guess it is possible if the regulator is not reducing the pressure sufficiently the rushing of gas through the burner could keep the thermocouple from heating properly.
I would definitely contact ENO for advice.

Lighting one does not erase the problem. Have to hold down knob for lengthy periods at times. Usually stays on if it stays lit when the knob is released but not always. There is a very noticeable noise that can be heard anywhere in the cabin.

Boat was built in France but for the American market. It was the boat for the East coast boat shows. Wouldn't think it was set up for camping gaz.

I would start by reading the manual closely and see if a regulator is required. If it is and you have one, start by replacing the regulator.
The regulators that mount on the bottle are inexpensive.
