Propane or Gas in the Bahamas for Cooking ?

Does anyone have any firsthand experience to tell me if I can bring propane stove, etc. to the Bahamas? I'm going to get a new coleman, and I'm trying to decide propane or gas...

Pros and cons of each?

If I got the propane, I would refit the fuel intake to a rubber hose to a large BBQ style tank, to buy in bulk and save $$$.

Whaddya think, y'all?

Propane is readily available in the Bahamas. Fuel (white gas) for Coleman stoves is not easy to get.

You are talking about something to be used and stored on deck, not in the cabin, right?

White cooking gas is hard to find outside the USA. I suggest that you do not use the colman stove for any lenght of time on a boat or use gas inside the boat. Some of those parts are a little week in my view.

Here is a nice one burner and they do have a 2 burner. It is very durable -

I like a propane system, my tank is aluminum so it won't rust and 10 gallons last a long time. It is stored on deck on the stern. I would rather cook on a propane stove rather than white gas. I also have my BBQ grill plumbed to the tank.
