I'm thinking about mounting a
propane bottle on the transom with an RV type bracket, then suroundng it with
plywood, in heavy seas just reach over and turn it off. My
columbia 30
rudder extends beyond the transom 16" or so, if I build things on the transom it would protect the
rudder if I back into a
dock or something. The
columbia 32 seems to be same
hull and rudder with 2 more feet aft. The
propane bottle would be high, maybe I build custom swim step low, ladder, etc., none of which would increase length overall. Everything would have to be super heavy duty to withstand getting pooped. ? Sea Genie, Santa Barbara
