Lots of folks do major work while floating/living aboard. Just gotta figure out how to keep the sawdust out of yer bunk.

I think you are solidly in the "Satisfied" category. Vote away.

Re: Project Satisfaction Poll

I selected satisfied however I am very satisfied with how the boat turned out. Bought her out of the gulf a victim of Katrina. Basically a full rebuild. Lots of hours and am very proud of the outcome, but would not want to do another because I would rather be cruising. Jack

I can't vote yet. I'm a year into my project and sometimes fear she will never see water. I lost several months to burnout. I am clearly a sprinter not a marathoner. When I bought her I had walked away from many project boats. I was about to move on a Mac 25. If I get her in the water she is so much more boat than the Macgreggor.

I have lost a year of sailing because I didn't buy a boat ready to sail and because I got weird about making sure everything is perfect. For a moment it occurred to me I could sell her and buy something ready to go. It then occurs to me if I can't get her into the water how will I keep her in the water? If I had been sailing all this time I would have been a danger to myself and others. In the year I haven't been sailing I have begun to learn how much I need to learn before we are ready to shove off at last. As you all know there is a lot more to sailing than making the boat go.
