Prioritizing Maintenance - Bottom vs. Mainsail

I need to remove 30 years of paint buildup from my boat's bottom and also to replace an aging mainsail. I'm trying to prioritize and would like to move the upgrade that would get me the greatest performance boost to the top of the list. So what's better for sailing to weather in light winds - a brand new mainsail or a perfect bottom?

Seriously??? It's a little difficult on the internet to assess the difference between a bottom we can't see and the condition and shape of a mainsail we can't examine.

have the bottom done there , much cheaper.
have the sail done here , much cheaper.
