Plastic wood for caprail

I am looking for an artificial no-maintenance material for the caprail on my yacht. I have had, on past boats, the dubious pleasure of a timber caprail. I am determined NOT to have any of the maintenance issues timber requires and am looking for some sort of plastic wood for the caprail (which I am sure you all know is the finishing piece for the sheer). Being steel I could just leave a more or less sharp edge or piece of horizontal flat bar(a bit industrial), or have a half/pipe finish (seen too many amateur boats with this). I would like a more attractive finish without the maintenance. Anyone had any experience or seen anything which could be suitable?
Thanks
