HAHAHAHAHA No, but I never said that. I'm not a fan of the Pardey approach, although I will admit they have sailed successsfully for many many miles.

I was merely observing that if you're looking for a KISS boat (that has proven it can work, if the owners are willing to put up with the disadvantages) then the Pardeys boat is an example and, I believe, for sale at the moment.

I like the concept of KISS, but I do believe it can be taken much too far.

Our books have gotten 5 star reviews on Amazon. Several readers have written "I never thought I would go on a circumnavigation, but when I read these books, I was right there in the cockpit with Vinni and Carsten"

Re: Planning the KISS Boat

I wholly endorse the kiss rule and I truly believe this is not a question of the hardware we drag along but rather a question of our mindset.

A person who has a highly speculative mind will not get a kiss boat, and if for any reason they do, will not like their boat and will promptly adjust it to their speculative needs.

Simplicity has as much beauty in it as complexity does, and both work.

Cheers,
b.
