Place for a re-fit

I'm looking for a good place - anywhere on the planet - to do a complete re-fit of a sailboat. What I have in mind is somewhere like Phuket where the labor costs are low and the workmanship (with proper supervision) is good. I can't afford what they charge here in the western world.

Anybody got a suggestion?

Are you going to be there to supervise or do you want to turn it over and have someone do it for you? What sort of time frame ae you looking at?

Thailand would be OK. Malaysia might be better.

Both, really. I'll be on hand for about half the time. I'm looking at spending 12 months on it.

I asked around Langkawi and was told to go to Phuket. Got somewhere else in mind?

Know of anything in the Carribean?
