I've got a 33-1 also. First off, I wouldn't mind having a copy of the plans for your shoe just for future reference, should I ever need it. But, in the meantime, I have a question which I hope you'll be able to help with.
I'm pretty new to a skeg-mounted rudder with a shoe. Lots of experience with an aft-hung and a spade rudder, but not this. I've been getting some squeaks in the rudder recently. I don't know if it's coming from the shoe, bearings in the post, or even from where the tiller head
fitting attaches. I've never disassembled any of it; and she's in the water
, and will be for quite some time. Because I've never disassembled it, I don't know what to make of it. Any help you could provide would be appreciated.
Lastly, I've got #189, and know someone with #198, which are both from 1972. So yours, being #184 is likely from 1972 also.
