Painting Under the Stands Supporting the Hull

In the yard I worked, in we made starboard overlays for the pads... paint never stuck to it.... Neither did the boat, so use chains to tie the stands together!

I will say that the bottom on my wing keel got painted while in the slings this year before going in the water. When hauled out months later there was a mussle farm on the bottom of the wing. But it could have be the paint not being up to it.
