Paint your boat Pittwater NSW

Hi Cruisers

I'm looking for a boat painter in the Pittwater NSW area. (That's near Sydney NSW Australia)
Like everyone else I'm looking for a good job at a reasonable price. It's a double diagonal wooden boat built in NZ of Kauri Pine. Extensively cruised. Maybe you've seen us!
This boat is keeper and overall winner of 2017-18 BBIC interclub series against fantastic plastics! So we have to reward her with a new paint job to ensure her longevity and keep her in good nick for the next owner. Although I reckon at over 70 I've still got ten years in her!

Thanks Woody

Re: Paint your boat Pittwater NSW

We contracted with Mark Barry-Cotter at Bayview Slipway, and he hired someone called Tom to paint our boat (strip planked wrc, and epoxy and glass in and out). Used automotive LPU. Has kept its gloss quite well. All in all, a very satisfactory experience, but you have to find somewhere to stay, can't live on the boat while the work's being done, but can do parallel jobs on it during work hours, as appropriate.

Ann

PS. Noakes has a good reputation. Some friends had a steelie with old LPU repaired, and they were able to do it so it didn't show.

Hi Ann

Thankyou I'll give them a try.
At least I can leave it with them. Also need new engine mounts and alignment.

Regards.
