Pacifica bottom paint while hauled out

We are in the Azores on the hard while our prop, prop shaft and coupling are machined and repaired. We will be hauled out several weeks awaiting parts.

I was told once by a yard in New Orleans that bottom paint had a reduced life when out of the water. In particular, he said our Pacifica paint was only good for 28 days when hauled out, then it would need to be recoated.

Our bottom paint is 7 months old and in great shape. I have checked Interluxe's website but can find no mention of this.

Anybody ever heard of an issue with your bottom paint suffering when hauled out?
