P bracket assistance

My p bracket has a bit of play in which I'm trying to fix, there is somewhere between an 1/8 and 1/4 of play.I've started removing the flowcoat from the inside of the hull and I'm not seeing what I thought I'd see-i was expecting some type of bolt fastening but so far I'm only seeing what I've tried to photograph, any advice on how the p bracket might be attached to the hull will be greatly appreciated

Re: P bracket assistance

If it is not bolted, it is glassed into the hull. You have to grind out around the external part of the bracket (this is actually called a strut), and re-seat, then re-glass . I see in the 1st pic. 2 bumps after where you did some removal ! They could be bolts, though there should be 4 bolts, 2 per side, I would think !
