Osmosis: Early Detection with UV Light

The German magazin Yacht has publisched a video about great method for very early detection of Osmosis. Highly useful for purchasing a used boat.
Just use a normal UV Light and yellow protection glasses. Any paint, antifouling and primer needs to be removed from the surface prior to the test. Gelcode does not need to be removed.
They say this method allows to see Osmosis up to 5 years prior to having the classic bubbles.

Re: Osmosis: Early Detection with UV Light

Not sure how useful this will be if you are looking to buy a yacht. Who is going to allow someone to strip a potentially good antifoul paint off a hull just to check for osmosis.

Might be worth doing if the bottom paint is coming off anyway.
