Non-slip deck paint

Mixing in Glass Bead Blasting Grit to the paint for a non-slip finish. Anybody done that? I am looking for a fine sharkskin finish. Thanks guys.

Re: Non-slip deck paint

Almost anything will work for non skid. Maybe mix up and paint a small sample and see if you like it. Or, lay down a coat of paint and sprinkle the non skid onto the fresh, wet paint. Paint a second coat over the media after it dries. Or leave it exposed, as you think best. I’ve found very fine non skid soon becomes polished smooth where you need it the most...
