New Transducer

Hello,
I am looking for some advise with a boat I just bought. I would like to install a new transducer to replace the existing one, which hardly works and is as old as the boat( 32 years ). I have no experience with this and was wondering how to shop for one? Are they all a standard size so I can simply pull the old and install the new? That almost sounds like a perfect world, but I don't know. The boat is a 50' Gulfstar Ketch. Thanks for your help!

There is no 'standard size', but luckily most transducers for boats are made by the same company. They will likely have the correct size
