New Bow Roller

I want to add a second bow roller to accommodate a 35# Manson Supreme. I do not have a bowsprit. Recommendations and comments appreciated.

Re: New Bow Roller

You're going to have to either get one longer than your present roller with its anchor or go the over under route. We spent a long time last year working on the same question -- although we do have a bowsprit -- and concluded in the end that it was easier to carry the second anchor forward in the rare instance where we need two bow anchors. We would rather change anchorages than be close enough to other boats that we have to limit our swing. We are now looking for a six inch or longer fast pin to avoid having to tie down the anchor on passage.

Re: New Bow Roller

Take the stemhead fitting off and go to a stainless fabricator. That's what I did when my 393 came with only one roller.
