Need to Paint the Nonslip Parts of My Deck

I have a 40yo fiberglass boat. The nonslip treads are cracked and in need of a new finish. I painted all of the top white with a good oil based paint slightly thinned. I did not paint the nonslip treads for fear of making them slick. They are not the "sandy" grit type, but rather some form of woven(?) matt that appears to be apart of the original gelcoat.
Anyway....
Does anyone know how I should paint them?

Get some Kiwi-Grip (available lots of places - shop for the best price). It is easy to work with and you can either try to save that woven look or just slather it on, roll it out, and have the texture it provides. It is VERY forgiving and easy to apply. Bonus feature - being essentially liquid rubber, it waterproofs the deck surface!

Kiwi-Grip is pricey = $120+ per gallon, and you'll use a quart on a 22. If you preserve it by putting a little water on top, you can use it on your next boat and the one after that! It can be tinted to match or accent hull/deck colors, too.
