Need Help with DIY Watermaker

Hello,
I was thinking to build my own Watermaker (12 Volt, 10-12 Gal/hr.).
Any suggestions, plans, guidelines,BOM etc.???
Is that a good idea to build one or should I just buy one, but they are pretty expensive. When I look at the production units, they do not look that complicated, or am I wrong with this?
Thanks for any help

Thanks Mike,
I should check on previous threads before posting a new one.
I got good information from the older threads, that should keep me busy for awhile.

You are very welcome There is a wealth of information here, takes some time to go through it all. I just happened to remember reading the thread earlier as I was interested in possibly constructing one myself.

Contact forum member Brent Swain. He wrote a book on the subject (for sale of course) and has probably already sorted out all the gory details.
