All clamshell vent covers get prepped and gelcoated. They are polished here as well.

Re: Nauticat 52 Refit

This is what a chopper gun looks like after a session. The crew looks like this too!

In this instance, the gun is set up for wet-out only. No cutter head.

Hey Minaret, Will you be nervous on the boat when it's finished? It looks pretty close to perfection. I'd be scared to even walk down the side deck

Nah, we went with the most durable finishes everywhere. She is definitely a no street shoes allowed boat now, though.

Hey, minaret and Mrs. minaret,

Beautiful girls!

Ditto the boat, but you guys knew that already, in BOTH cases. When do you cast off the lines?

Ann

Looks like the girls have some fashion sense, keep them away from Stilettos in deck then

The epic refit! Absolutely splendid! By the time you are ready to splash, it will be raining again (love those 6 week summers).

Thanks for all the educational posts.

It's just friggin' Mind boggling how talented you are... You make it look as simple as one of us mortals tying our shoes...

Thanks for all your hard work on this thread. Amazing you have the energy to put this narrative together given the hours you're putting into the boat.

Re: Nauticat 52 Refit

This project has been torpedoed five days before launch by a fire started in the neighboring parking lot by some asshat with a cigarette. We are devastated.
